Tilbury Marine Jetty

Tilbury Jetty Limited Partnership is proposing to construct and operate a marine jetty on Tilbury Island in Delta, B.C. The former industrial site is adjacent to the existing FortisBC Tilbury LNG production and storage facility. The jetty would be used for loading LNG from the FortisBC facility onto carrier ships for export, barges for marine bunkering (ship fueling) activities, and other local deliveries.

Primary Project Permits

Permits for natural gas pipelines, LNG facilities, renewable (wind and solar), and transmission line projects are required before construction can start. Applications go through a thorough permitting process, described in our Review Applications page. Approvals, issued under the Energy Resource Activities Act (ERAA), contain specific conditions and requirements that proponents must meet to be in compliance with BCER permits.
