Well decommissioning is an important step in the lifecycle of a well. Section 26 of the Drilling and Production Regulation lays out the requirements permit holders must meet when decommissioning wells. The BC Well Decommissioning Guidelines provides guidance to permit holders on how those expectations may be met.
