DATE ISSUED: Aug. 7, 2025
EFFECTIVE DATE: Immediately
A report to assist permit holders with meeting administrative submission requirements has been updated to further support industry compliance. The BC Energy Regulator’s (BCER) Submissions Due Report has added a new submission type for pipelines in the Agricultural Land Reserve.
Permit holders of pipelines located in the Agricultural Land Reserve (ALR) that are subject to the Delegation Agreement between the BCER and the Provincial Agricultural Land Commission (ALC) are required to conduct reclamation within 24 months of the date of pipeline installation. They are also required to submit a Schedule B Report to the BCER within the timelines defined in the Delegation Agreement.
This new submission type allows permit holders to view Schedule B reports that are overdue and coming due within the next year.
Please note pipelines with multiple segments may be reported in multiple lines in the report in accordance with the segment number and Leave to Open date.
The Submissions Due Report can be accessed here. Updated background and instructions documentation can be accessed here.
The BCER will be reviewing for overdue submissions and will take compliance action as appropriate.
